Quality / Safety, Health and Environment - Responsible Care
DERIVADOS DEL FLUOR was one of the first companies to be awarded with certifications ISO 9001:2008 and ISO-14001. Since 1993,it is adhered to the Responsible Care program, voluntary international initiative set up by the chemical industry around the world, in order to promote constant safety, health and environmental protection improvement in its activities.
DERIVADOS DEL FLUOR is committed to the fulfillment of the European REACH legislation for the registration, evaluation and authorization of chemical substances and is member of FEIQUE (Enterprise of the industry chemical Spanish Federation) and of the Committee technical European of fluorine (CTEF), a sectorial group of the European Chemical Industry Council Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC).
Safety, Health and Environment
DDF takes part since 1993 in the Responsible Care program, which promotes continuous improvement in the fields of safety, health and environmental protection around the world. The Responsible Care initiative comprises, on a voluntary basis, to the chemical industry around the world and its development is embodied in the following six codes:
- Safety and Health at work
- Process Safety and emergency response
- Product Stewardship
- Transport and Distribution
- Environment protection
Responsible Care is the chemical industry commitment to sustainable development.
The code for the environmental protection was developed under the guidelines of ISO-14001 standard and is awarded with this certification since year 2000.
Codes for safety and health and for process safety are covered under the OHSAS-18001 principles and are awarded with Lloyds certification since year 2014.
Constant improvement in the relationship with local authorities and the environment encourages the development of activities and, in this sense, communication of the objectives, achievements and performances is an essential part of DDF communication policy. The SSMA report (safety, health and environment), reflects the actions and most significant indicators in these fields.
